Jane Ko, best known as the woman behind A Taste of Koko, is an Austin-based food blogger and lover of color. Her beautiful home, which she shares with cat Bee and dog Basil, is heavily inspired by her travels both around the country and abroad. It features natural elements, including a lot of different plants, as well as vibrant pops of color courtesy of her bold Ruggable rugs.
“I have three Ruggable rugs in my home and I love how they’re machine-washable and come in so many different colors and patterns,” Jane says. “I’ve owned several rugs throughout my home and it’s a nightmare when one of the pets has an accident. Also with all the foot traffic, the rugs just end up looking gross. Ruggable isn’t technically waterproof but it is water-resistant. I love that I can wash the Ruggable rugs and easily switch out the Rug Cover designs!”
Below, see Jane’s favorite rugs and how she styles them in her home.
Name: Jane Ko
Profession: Food and travel blogger based in Austin, Texas
Design Style: “I would say my style is minimal, boho-chic with pops of color.”
Metro Multicolor Rug
“This was my first Ruggable rug – I had a shag white and black rug that was covered with pet stains and super dirty. I spent months researching new rugs and then discovered Ruggable. Of all the high-traffic areas in the house, this room gets the most traffic. When I switched it out with the Ruggable rug, I loved the pop of color it added to this room!”
Suku Terracotta Rug
“As a blogger, I needed more space to shoot in my home, so I converted the master bedroom into a faux living room because it gets the best light. I got this velvet couch that’s also a daybed so I can actually pull it out if I have guests come. I love terracotta color tones so I wanted to accentuate that color scheme in my home by adding this terracotta rug.”
Absida Rainbow Rug
“I LOVE LOVE LOVE this rug. I added this to my guest bedroom (aka my Instagram bedroom) and it just makes the room so happy. Every morning I wake up, it makes me smile to see the rainbow and pop of colors.”
